Biographical
Aric J. Garza is an accomplished ADR professional who has arbitrated and mediated to settlement a wide range of cases. He has extensive experience with online mediations and arbitrations, handling over 150 matters via Zoom.
A special area of emphasis is mediating cases for parties with arbitration clauses in the their contracts.
Mr. Garza has been a litigator since 1999, handling commercial disputes, employment disputes, and real estate disputes for both plaintiffs and defendants. This experience gives him the knowledge, skills and ability to resolve difficult cases.
Since 2014, Mr. Garza has distinguished himself as a top neutral in Texas. He is a prominent member of the American Bar Association (ABA) Section of Dispute Resolution, the State Bar of Texas ADR Section and the San Antonio Bar Association ADR Section.
Mr. Garza has been assigned over 160 arbitration cases as a panelist with the American Arbitration Association’s (AAA) Commercial, Construction and Employment panels. He is also a panelist with the CPR Institute, FINRA and the American Health Law Association. His experience includes handling over 2000 desk arbitrations involving provider/insurance billing disputes under the federal “No Surprises Act.”
Mr. Garza’s volunteer work includes serving as a Delegate to the ABA House of Delegates, and an ambassador for the AAA-ICDR. He is a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation and the Texas Bar Foundation, the San Antonio Bar Foundation. Additionally, Mr. Garza is a a Board Member of The Villages at Incarnate Word retirement community in San Antonio, Texas.
During his time away from the law, he is known as “The Blues Lawyer” (@theblueslawyer) playing and singing the blues at a variety of venues in San Antonio.
